"Oh, sorry I didn't see you there... I am busy completing reading assessments for all of my students!
Seriously though, PM Benchmark + is the essential digital component that primary teachers could possibly use in their classrooms. Not only do I have more time with my students but I also have more me time where I can do... whatever I want to! I have been using PM Benchmark for years in my classroom. My students read books and then I need to make sure that I complete regular diagnostic assessments using pen and paper and then input them into our student record database. The process is time and labor intensive and takes me away from focusing on the curriculum that I need to deliver and assess.
This is where PM Benchmark + comes in. It takes what teachers and students already know and use and adds a digital component unmatched in the reading assessment industry. Using assistive learning software students read the books as normal but this time with the assistance of a mobile device or computer and the PM Benchmark + app which analyses the pitch and tone of their voice while they read and simultaneously interprets their voice against the expected dialogue and completes a diagnostic report. This information is then organized by student and compared to both a global and local database to level and rank their reading comprehension.
The time is now... the technology is there, we just need your help getting this out to teachers around the world! We are appealing to educators, as you already know what is required to complete these assessments and understand the value in such as product as it will reduce the stress of additional assessment and allow you to focus on what is important in your classrooms... your students. So please visit our website and think about making an investment... in you!
